The City of Farmington is in the process of applying for the Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) grant.
Grant funding is provided for the identification and removal of barriers to affordable housing production and preservation. As an eligible recipient, the City of Farmington is requesting funding to conduct an infrastructure project aimed at preserving affordable housing and increasing the community's resilience by investing in infrastructure improvements to mitigate the impacts of disasters, natural hazards and extreme weather. Public comment is being requested in the preparation of the grant submittal. A public hearing will be held on October 10, 2023 for an additional opportunity to hear public comments.

The City of Farmington Community Works front lobby, located upstairs at 805 Municipal Dr., is open for walk-in customers. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Duties
Development
The division oversees and coordinates the city’s processes relating to development review, including the compilation of review comments from various city departments and other entities, such as Comcast, CenturyLink, New Mexico Gas, and the Farmington School District.Staff Functions
Staff review subdivisions, summary plats, site plans, development plans, land use applications, provide support to several commissions and boards and are responsible for assigning addresses. The division regularly host meetings with developers, engineers, architects, and builders to discuss their proposals, and are available to answer questions from the general public.DRC - Development Review Committee
All petitioners are encouraged to meet with city staff at the DRC meeting which is held every Tuesday morning at 8:15 a.m. These are virtual meetings.
