STREET RESTRICTION & CLOSURE NOTICES

Please be advised:

  • Lanes at Broadway Bridge between Scott Ave. and Southside River Rd. will be RESTRICTED beginning Monday, May 14, 2018 through Friday, August 17, 2018 to allow for traffic signal repairs. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


  • The City of Farmington Traffic Division will be completing street striping, as well as long line street painting on various streets throughout the City. Lanes will be RESTRICTED in various locations beginning Monday, May 21, 2018 through Friday, August 17, 2018. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm


  • Broadway Ave., S. Miller Ave. to Auburn Ave. will be RESTRICTED to two lanes starting Wednesday, June 13, 2018 through Friday, September 7, 2018 to allow for waterline installation. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


  • 20th St. from Sunset Ave. to N. Dustin Ave. will be RESTRICTED on Monday, July 23, 2018 through Tuesday, August 14, 2018 to allow for sidewalk closure and shoulder work. CONSTRUCTION HOURS:: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm  


  • Arctic St. between Caribbean Ave. and English Rd. will be RESTRICTED starting Thursday, July 26, 2018 through Friday, August 17, 2018 to allow for utility work. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


  • Atlantic Street between Caribbean to the cul-de-sac will be COMPLETELY CLOSED beginning Monday, August 13, 2018 through Monday, August 27, 2018, to allow for utility work. (local traffic only) CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


  • The traffic signal at W. Main St. & Lake St. will be DARK beginning Monday, August 13, 2018 through Tuesday, August 14, 2018 to allow for signal upgrades. All-way stop signs will be in place. Flashing or dark traffic lights should be treated as a 4-way stop. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 07:30 am –  5:00 pm


  • North bound right turn on Lake St. at W. Main St. will be RESTRICTED beginning Monday, August 13, 2018 through Friday, August 17, 2018 to allow for utility work. 
    Construction Hours: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

POTHOLE PATCHING & CRACK-SEALING PROJECT

The City of Farmington Streets Department will be potholing various locations throughout the City. Locations may be RESTRICTED for a short period of time during this process, detours and barricades will be in place.

COLD MILL PROJECT


The City of Farmington Streets Department will begin the cold milling process on various streets throughout the City. Locations may be RESTRICTED for a short period of time during this process, detours and barricades will be in place.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
 Kerney Dr. - 8/27/18 - 9/10/18
 Viento Dr. - 9/10/18 - 9/24/18

CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

FOOTHILLS DR. ENHANCEMENT - PHASE I

The project will involve reconstructing Foothills Drive from Holmes Drive to Rinconada Street. The reconstructed road will have two 11' wide travel lanes, two 5' wide bike lanes, one 10' wide detached multi-use path, drainage structures, medians and a roundabout.

**UPDATE**

STREET RESTRICTION NOTICE  

Continued construction at the intersection of Foothills Drive and Rinconada Street, there will be extended delays due to HEAVY CONSTRUCTION.   

Traffic delays may be up to 15 minutes.  Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Access to the north via Lakewood, Hood Mesa Trail, and College Blvd. 

Flagging, detours and barricading will be in place. Construction Hours: 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

Ongoing: Blue stake/utility locate. Storm water pollution control to be installed and maintained throughout the project.

June 10-July 17: Roadway/excavation, construction and culvert instillation will continue through July.

June 22-June 29: Mailboxes impacted during construction will be relocated, a temporary portable mailbox will be provided by the contractor. Permanent mail boxes will be replaced at the end of the construction, utility relocate-possible disruption in utility services and begin installation of drainage structures.

June 27: Speed limit reduced to 25 mph. Additional runs from water truck in the am and pm during the week, and additional weekend watering.

July 15: Traffic control barricades and temporary traffic control signage will be placed for road closure, on Monday, July 16, 2018 through Saturday, July 21, 2018 for culvert instillation.

July 31-August 1: Installation of culvert pipe across Foothills Dr. between Juniper Place and La Luz Trail.  

August 6-August 11: Crews will begin the installation of 30"culvert on east side of Foothills Drive between Los Ninos Place and Juniper Place.

August 13-August 17: Crews will start preparing for concrete structures south of Los Ninos Pl.

CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

2P, PHASE I WATERLINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

The 2P, Phase 1 Waterline Replacement Project is currently in progress.  This major project includes replacement waterlines on  Griffen, Graham, Plum, Bramble, Poplar, Sycamore and S. Dustin.  Anticipated project completion is January 16, 2019.

**UPDATE**
STREET CLOSURE NOTICE

Please be advised water line installation continues on South Graham Rd. from Sycamore St. to Tamarack St. and will remain COMPLETELY CLOSED  through Monday, August 20, 2018, (24/7).

Access to the west via South Bluffview Ave. Detours and barricading will be in place. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

 Also, Graham Rd. from Murray Dr. to Sycamore St. will be RESTRICTED beginning Wednesday August 15, 2018 through Friday, August 31, 2018 to allow for water line installation.
