Non-certified new hires are eligible to receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus upon successful completion of the hiring process. Applicants who currently hold officer certification, either in New Mexico or another state, may be eligible for lateral entry. A $5,000 bonus will be paid to lateral officers certified in another state who are eligible for New Mexico certification. Lateral officers currently certified in New Mexico are eligible for a $15,000 bonus.
